This was a mood painting I started that somehow turned into Alice's Caterpillar. This is a style of painting I used to do all the time when I was at The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. I like to use watercolors and randomly paint shapes and swirls usually while playing music in the background. After a while something sparks my attention within the abstract madness and it turns into something very spontaneous that I ordinarily didn’t set out to paint. It keeps things mysterious and very free. A lot of my work is very intricate and this is a way for me to loosen up my images but add my passion for detail after the fact.
