I'm Feeling "STRESSED"!

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately, there is just so much going on right now!! Between my Art show, the girls at school = lot's of homework, soccer practices, music lessons, teaching art classes and a few other things I'm sure I'll mention soon, I feel a little "stressed".

Did you know that "STRESSED" spelled backwards is DESSERTS(o: I'm going to take a few days to get things in order. Maybe I'll have a few cups of tea and some sweet "DESSERTS" to calm me down as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend!! I'll be back on Tuesday(O:

  1. Well I say the chocolate cake is the proper prescription. Take one with milk before bedtime.

  3. WEll I am impressed by tht cake of course, it looks wonderful.

Also impressed by all you have accomplished over the days I have not been here, I do know tho that it never seems like enough, it is so easy to look at what is left to do and not what has been done. You have a lot of beautiful things to take to your show that is up coming. The look of your work will draw people in. Hoping your finding the right things for display.

Wishing you less stress and things accomplished. Yes, the starting of school does throw things into a new schedule that takes a great deal of time.

  15. Yummm, dessert ~~ yuck, stress! Lady, you accomplish SO much on a daily basis, and you should be proud of that; I, truly, have no idea how you manage it all. So I'm thrilled to hear you're giving yourself a well-deserved break. Enjoy that dessert, ... and a quiet late morning coffee, or beverage of choice ... and your family. I'll be here with bells on when you return ... and most likely I'll visit a few times before then, to review some previous posts, to gain some inspiration! Big (((HUGS)))!

  18. How has it been that I did not realise the real reason why I eat so many desserts when i am stressed. I feel so much better now that it is not just me, it is written in black and white!!LOL.
Look after yourself, we will be here when you get back, take those much needed breathers to regroup and recoup, and listen to your body telling you to slow down.

  20. That is such a cool bit of info- I never realized that stressed is desserts backwards. I definately think there is a link here- that chocolate cake would take me down a notch (but probably a pound or two up on the scale) and then the stress would start all over again. Oh well... love your post anyway!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.
