"Daydream Goddess" #6 of 8 series

"Daydream Goddess" These paintings measure a 2 ft X 2 ft perfect square.
She just had the look of a daydreamer to me. This is much how I spent my days in school..... just dreaming of my next project once I got my homework out of the way. After High School when I went to the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, MA it gave me the opportunity to dabble in just about every medium possible. The only academic was art history. This was when the daydreams in class stopped. I was thoroughly interested and focused on the studio art being taught. Now I just daydream as part of my constant brainstorm. I believe an artists mind never rests because every word and vision is a constant feed of new inspiration.

  1. I enjoy watching these progress. I always had the worst time with art history. Can't remember dates.

  2. Another stunning piece! The "daydreamer" text is AWESOME ~~ I thought it was bookprint...until I looked closer. I love your color palette and the tremendous details in your work, Rebecca. It would take me YEARS to create anything even remotely similar to these ladies, ;). Can't wait for prints on etsy!!!

  7. I had to come by, I always gasp with pleasure when I see your Daisy Dolls, a few deep breaths is good for me anyway because on busy days it seems I don't stop to breath. You have worked so hard and they are so beautiful and I can't say which I like the best, it is always the new one, but then, I see the previous posts and can't decide. Exceptional technique

Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.

Art Doll Mable

Art Doll Mable
Meet Mable, she's trying her best to keep her skin glowing. She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
