"A New Series Of Eight Daisydolls Paintings" in progress
This is a series of eight paintings that I am working on simultaneously. They are coming together as a nice collection. I've never worked on so many paintings at one time but I actually like it. It gives them all a similar color palette and style but they will most definitely be one of a kind and be able to stand on their own or group with others once they're finished.
I love the next step that comes with these paintings which is all the detail. I love it so much that I photographed each piece as they look so far and through "Shutterfly" and I made a hard cover 8X8 photo book journal with the images. Each page will be one of these faces some more unfinished that others and I will be able to embellish them over and over again with doodles and writing. I can't wait to get it. I will post photos once it arrives.

ReplyDeleteI simply adore the 'unfinished' stage of art...the energy is brilliant..and i can honestly say that I've never pumped out eight at a time...! wow..that is superbly in a class of it's own thinking!
I should try that too someday...you're right...the colours would be so effectively harmonized that way! and what a series...
lovely.....lovely.... BE-gorgeousioso!
can't wait to see more!

These paintings are stunning. You are a very talented artist. I hope you don't mind but I referred to your blog and linked your blog to my post this morning. I was very inspired. Thank you for sharing them online. I look forward to viewing more of your work.
ReplyDeleteI like how you work these up in so many layers, but each one looks finished at every stage. That's a lot of craftsman- er- craftswomanship!
ReplyDeleteLove these works! Unfinished they already look finished to me. Beautiful art!
