"Mermaids On My Mind"



I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! This is a photo of the 2 page 9 1/2 hour journal page drawing I did in the car while driving home today. (keep in mind it's not finished, I'm still working on her face and scales).I cannot tell you how fast the 9 1/2 hours of driving went. Time really goes fast when you're having fun!!
Now I am home and I've just poured myself a glass of Pinot Noir. I am feeling relaxed already(O: Cheers! I was really sad to leave such a gorgeous place but it's good to be home...

    oh it looks like you drew your sand lady! that's so cool! i love it, and i believe you when you say you're not done, i have grown quite fond of all your embellished details...

    can't wait to see the finale!
    talk about art passing the time, the day is gone and I've been immersed in art!

    you must be really super talented to draw 'while driving'....! wow...talk about multitasking! so you were holding the wheel in one hand...and the pens in the other....! lol

    She's beautiful!!! I so wish I could draw, write or read while I'm in the car, but unfortunately, even a big dose of dramamine doesn't help! Your mermaid is gorgeous!!! Enjoy your Pinot!!! Hugs, Terri

    I, too, am impressed by your ability to drive and create art! But I can just see the new commercial- Drawing and Driving- Don't do it! Anyhow, she's fun and fabulous!

These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.
