Sketchbook Project 2011 (pages 10 & 11)

Hello everyone!!
I'm moving right along here with my sketchbook project(O: I'm afraid that if I stop I won't pick it up again. I'm working on these pages with all kinds of mediums, it keeps it interesting for me and that way the possibilities are endless!Some of the pages have collage, watercolors, acrylics, Prisma markers, archival ink, graphite, paint pens and gel pens. I've had to glue three pages together to get the thickness I need in order to use such a variety of mediums.
This is my two page spread of pages 10 & 11. Oh and there are just three faces today....."Where's Waldo" right?! Have an awesome day everyone!!!!

  6. Hi Rebecca;
    I can see the three! Yay! These are really cute. I was just wondering about how you were using all those mediums on such thin paper, then I read that you needed to glue three of them together and that totally makes sense. I remember mine and I glued two pages together and then I would work outside of the book and glue pages down once I finished so essentially there were three layers of pages for each drawing. So if you glued three pages together how many spreads do you have left until you complete the sketchbook? This is going to be a fabulous sketchbook! I wish that they were going to be available for sale once they finish the touring!
    Hugs to you!

Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.

She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
