Dolly-Pop Series of Art Dolls
This is Art Doll – Jessica, she stands about 6 inches tall. Jessica is the first doll of this new Dolly-Pop collection I have been working on. I knit her dress out of a combination acrylic & wool and then added some detailed piping around the bottom of her bloomers and waist. Her shoes are hand painted with a high gloss acrylic paint and then varnished. Jessica’s hands, feet and face are hand sculpted out of polymer clay. She was really fun to make; I may try to do my next one with an acrylic resin for the hair since the body is so soft. It might be nice to see a change of texture.
I love this page ! Muted collage ! What an artistic idea !
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, I think your sketch book is going to be amazing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages, Rebecca! Love the muted effect, and so happy to see you using your Daily Doll faces in this journal. Is the paper quality the same as the Moleskine "Sketchbook" paper? I truly want to do this project, but decided I need to wait until after returning from CHA to purchase my book; trying to save as many funds as possible for CHA, and I've not done too well with this lately, ;).
ReplyDeleteAnd, speaking of purchases, I received my set of your Daisy Dolls Postcards yesterday, and Oh My ~~ the are truly STUNNING! I will save them to use for truly special occasions, as they are too pretty to part with otherwise, ;). Happy Day and Creating!
