Sketchbook Project 2011 (pages 14 & 15)
For some reason I have been seeing a lot of Bee's lately so I thought it was a sign and only fitting I incorporate them into my sketchbook. So here I sit with my hot tea with toast and honey presenting to you my next two page spread.
Thank you to everyone who has been commenting on my pages. As I said when I started this journey of the Sketchbook Project, this will be my first sketchbook filled from cover to cover. At 38 years old it's about time I did that. I am trying to stay focused on this sketchbook and the only way I can is if I do it daily until it's finished. I was the child in school who did her report on the first day so it would be finished and then I could move on to other things. That is my mission here, if I stay on schedule I will be finished one week from today. My kids have soccer camp this week so I am really buckling down.
Have a WONDERFUL Thursday everyone!!!

Two more inspiring works of art, Rebecca. Love the bees, and the background is so appropriate! So happy to see you focusing on complete this project, ;). Wishing you a great day!

Love their hair and the way you've incorporated words into the bodice too. Very creative! Oh, Rebecca, I was a "finish it as soon as I got the assignment" girl too! Enjoy your art time! Hugs, Terri xoxox

This is some pace you are setting here girl! I'm waiting for my book to arrive. I suspect it will take me a little longer to fill! Your sketches are wonderful, I'm really enjoying seeing them all come together.
ReplyDeleteI love coming here everyday to see what you've created--it always puts a smile on my face. These are just awesome, and for some reason, we don't have that many bees around here this year.
ReplyDeleteLove the bee theme! I was on a bee kick myself a couple of months ago. There is just something so interesting about bees! And they are so fun to paint :)
ReplyDeleteor maybe the message is that you should 'bee'-have! heheee....
ReplyDeletei do that too..incorporate what is going on in my life in the art I'm making....even hairdo's on the girls I draw seem to reflect what I'm sporting.....
art is our life on paper, after all, yes!!!

I'm really admiring your pages, they are beautiful and I really like this Honey Bee one.
ReplyDeleteBoy I admire your focus to get this project done. I really wish I was like that, but I always wait to the last minute and dive myself crazy wondering why the heck I didn't start earlier. That's why I didn't sign up for this project, I was afraid I'd be doing all the pages in one night. :)
You are doing great, can't wait to see the rest!
