Sketchbook project 2011 (pages 8 & 9)

Thank you all for searching for the faces in the crowd. This is another two page spread of pages 8 & 9. These faces are a little more obvious, there are two on the left and two on the right. I decided to add a little text to this page, it just seemed fitting to me. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Happy Monday(O:

  2. Rebecca;
    These are really pretty. As I was looking at the smaller pictures (before I opened the larger one) I wondered what that was on their faces and when I saw the flowers with the leaves I loved it! My son told me just yesterday to put vines over one of my faces to connect the flowers that I had painted because he said it looks like I have made a flower bearded lady - LOL. I think I will have to work on that one! lol. Once again, just beautiful!

  3. These are very clever. The patterns on the face remind me of my bedroom wallpaper back in the 1970s - very retro chic!

  5. I've been catching up with your blog--your creativity flow just amazes me--I'd love to be inside of your head.
    BTW--Your postcards came when I was gone--Love them! They are going in my art room. I'm not sure if I'm going to frame them separately or as a group, but they will be in there--thank you!

  8. Oh what fun, and I found all four faces on this one ~~ woo hoo! What a terrific project. I'm glad to see you seemingly are having fun with this, and zooming right through it; almost halfway completed, correct?!? I can see that your journal will be a very popular one on the tour next year. Happy Day and Creating, Rebecca! xoxo

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.

Meet Mable, she's trying her best to keep her skin glowing. She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
