"Peace Maker"
As I was creating this journal page I had nothing in particular in mind. All I knew was that my friend Terri gave away a freebie image the other day that struck me. This image has so many possibilities and I may even have another go with her. She turned out to be posing as a woman who grew up being the middle child. It's funny when ever I have spoken to someone who also grew up being a middle child there have always been so many similarities. Personally I loved being the middle child and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm not sure I'm the person I am today because that is simply my personality or because of the middle child duties of keeping the peace between siblings, friends etc... that molded me that way. Anyway, I love this image and I thank Terri for giving it away, I really had a lot of fun with this piece!!

Terri will be very happy to see what you've done with her image--very creative, and I love what you did with the "middle child"--beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page! I love how you have used this image for middle child. My sister Tania was the middle one, we used to call her the 'happy giver' because she was always keeping the peace even if it meant her going without! I'd call that a peace maker for sure! I was the baby of the family!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you muted the texture in the background!
I love what you did with the "chain mail" lady that Terri gave all of us. Obviously being a middle child did not affect your art abilities!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful rest of the day~

ReplyDeleteDiane's right, Rebecca . . . I'm absolutely thrilled and flattered that you've used my lady for this beautiful and meaningful journal spread - and brilliantly, I might add! Thank you! You've made my heart sing today!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was a middle child. Blessed are the peacemakers! Hugs, Terri xoxoxo

I love this piece and the concept that goes behind it! The idea of birth order fashioning who we are is so fascinating....I'm an oldest child who spent a lot of time being an 'only.' I wonder what that says about me? :)
ReplyDeleteyou've used these images beautifully......but then again, you always do!!!! love your page! :))))
ReplyDeleteI really like these pages. I had never heard that the middle child was the peace maker. Interesting
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the image! How creative. I like how your mind works! ♥
