Happy Valentines Day!!
Art Doll Prints
Available Now!!!
Dolly-Pop Series of Art Dolls
This is Art Doll – Jessica, she stands about 6 inches tall. Jessica is the first doll of this new Dolly-Pop collection I have been working on. I knit her dress out of a combination acrylic & wool and then added some detailed piping around the bottom of her bloomers and waist. Her shoes are hand painted with a high gloss acrylic paint and then varnished. Jessica’s hands, feet and face are hand sculpted out of polymer clay. She was really fun to make; I may try to do my next one with an acrylic resin for the hair since the body is so soft. It might be nice to see a change of texture.
Double wow!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how Frida kinda takes over when you start her. She refuses to be forgotten. I love what you are doing with her.
ReplyDeleteI was so inspired by your Frida I did a self portrait. I am afraid it looks like a child did it but I kind like it!!! I had a hard time put the colors in chunks on the face...I don't have the right colored markers, so I used pencil, but the face isn't as bright as the rest. I even used a gold leaf pen.... did I ever mention Frida is one of my favorite artist and I also love the bright Mexican art. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are terrific, Frida is such a good subject and very inspiring. Love what you are doing with her.

Oh your Frida is coming along splendidly! I am loving this series! I really like the black and white! Have you thought of showing each piece in black and white and then on the opposite page in color? Both versions are so unique and wonderful.
