"Rebecca's First Blog Video" ....Yikes!!
This is me on video for the first time on my blog....yikes!! It's kind of scary I have to admit! I was painfully shy as a child and have outgrown that for the most part but videoing yourself and seeing it is a little weird.... Please forgive the quality of this video. I guess I need a better camera to show all the detail of my work. I am just trying to experiment with some videos. If I can get the hang of it I may do some online tutorials in the future. Thanks for being my audience!!

My New Studio
It may be pink but it's no longer the closet under the stairs(O:
Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!
Art Doll Prints
Available Now!!!
India
Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.
Art Doll Mable
Meet Mable, she's trying her best to keep her skin glowing. She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
Wow, I don't stop by for a couple of days then when I'm back you've gone super-prolific! What wonderful creations. I especially love the parasol/swirly girls. What a clever idea with the cutout, I just love it! Nice to 'meet' you on your video too. You should try embeding the vid on your blog. It's easy. Just copy the embed code from the YouTube page then click on the edit html tab on the edit post part and paste the link. Click back to normal editing and there it is! (just ignore my ramblings if you already know how to do this!!)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Rebecca!!! What a pleasure to "sit in your home and share a 'live' conversation with you" this morning! This is a GREAT video, and your video assist has done a magnificant job, as well! Your Moleskine is coming along fabulously, and I hope to see more videos from you in the future. Again, if you ever do an online class, I'll be one of the first to sign up, lady, ;) ~~ Smiling Hugely, Jeanne

Hi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lovely, clever, young lady you are!
I loved sitting and listening to you talking about your Journal in your studio!
Looking forward to the next segment.
Looking at your moleskin journal the pages don't look very thick, what gsm are the pages?
Do moleskin books come in different size gsm or do you Gesso all your pages?
Happy creating,
Hugs,
Anna
Hi, nice to get to see you and hear your voice. Your journal was fun to see in it's entirety. I am getting excited to start mine. I have 3 ACEO's I have to finish and then I will begin.
ReplyDeleteRebecca, it was good to get to know you through your video. You did a great job in explaining in detail what you have done with your journal. I will definitely want to take your online class early next year. Job well done!
ReplyDeleteI love this video. so nice to see you and have you explain your process in detail. I have looked for and found the moleskin journals, which I had never heard of either, so I will have to try one soon. You inspire, you truly do!
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Rebecca, I LOVED seeing this!! Please tell me you plan on doing more!! I got to learn so much about your style and the way you go about designing your page, and YOU! Man, this was good......your first one.....are you sure????? LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI finally got some time alone without my monkeys hanging on me, and I watched your video. It was really awesome to watch your journal progressing, and to hear some of your thoughts and processes. I don't think I could ever commit to filling a whole journal! I would get three pages in, hate the fourth page, burn the whole thing.
