Sketchbook Project (for 2011) Page 4 & 5

Here we are with pages 4 and 5. Do you see what I see? How many faces do you see in this two page spread? With my theme being "face in the crowd" some faces have to be searched for.

  1. How cool is that??? I see two faces on the right page, but I want to keep searching for more! And is that a black eye on the left page, lol? I so love your art, Rebecca...and am thrilled that you found a Moleskine Sketchbook, and like it! Enjoy the weekend, xoxo!

  2. I see 3 faces! Is that all? This is a lot like finding Waldo. Those are very pretty girls! I just love the way you embellish your art work with the flowers and such :D

  4. Gorgeous! I received the postcards I ordered and they are absolutely beautiful, my only regret is I can't think of a way to display them to show off both sides, the black and white side is as pretty in it's own way as the colored side. Excellent work and value. Thank you so much.

  5. Rebecca;
    I LOVE these! I see two faces in the right one and possibly two in the second but I wasn't sure. These are fabulous!
    Thank you so much for your comment on my Peek-a-boo girl. I will continue working on these as I love the process. Thank you so much for your kind words.
    Hugs to you.

  6. As I was looking at your work and seeing more faces than the initial look, I thought of my mother and she use to say she could see through me, meaning of course she knew what was going on in my mind and what I was thinking about asking or wanting. However the difference is these works of art are beautiful and that didn't feel that way. I am particularily fond of page one. And isn't it always a question to the artist, I wonder why they like that best when I like something else best.

    Do you remember Sharon Tomlinso doing her journal on time for the Library? It was also fun to see her progress. these are such treasures and so hard to part with I would think.

  7. i like the idea of many faces hiding within one work of art...it's symbolic really...we all wear many faces....many different sides to the strengths of us women there are!

    well done!

Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.

She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
