"Words In A Bubble"

I wanted to try a page in my journal using words in a bubble. I seriously think that drawing all those swirls around the bubble was incredibly meditative, I could have just kept on swirling. I had some music playing in the background and I was just swirling to the beat. It was a nice break a lot more fun than the cleaning streak I've been on lately. Have a great Thursday everyone!!

  2. I'm impressed with the manner in which you created your journal pages. The hair on your gal sports what looks like magazine or newspaper scraps-fabulous. Your color scheme for this one is perfect.

    Cheers for the day~

  9. Rebecca;
    This is awesome. Thank you for showing your whole process as you have filled me with inspiration once again! I can't believe you drew all those swirls by hand! You have a steady hand! I love doodling and I will do it for hours at a time (until my hubby takes my art away so that I can rest! so sad!) I love how you take a picture out of a magazine and make it yours by adding color and texture - I think I remember seeing a Teesha Moore video that explained how she creates all her faces and makes them hers... such a cool process. Thanks for sharing! I am hoping to get at some art work this long weekend. Hugs to you.

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.
