"Sketchbook Collage"

I decided to make a collage of photos from all the pages of my sketchbook project 2011. I used a piece of ply wood 2 feet wide and 4 feet long, so it's quite a large piece. I created it as a conversation piece for my home as well as something to remember my sketchbook project 2011. Every image between the covers of my sketchbook are within this collage. Some of the images are of the two page spread and some are of each individual page so many images actually appear twice. This was a lot of fun and a very carefree project I worked on over the weekend. Have a happy Monday everyone!

  13. I get this faceted mirrored image going in my mind when I look at this. Its almost like a quilt. I would love to hang it in my home or a client's home. Now, on another track, you could take a photo of it and turn it into a transfer....I'm just saying, it's good any way you look at it!

  14. I agree with you wanting to remember the journal and see all the faces,I had to look and look, enlarge and look some more. I am always facinated by your work, and think how does she do that? At art shows I always like when peiple say, how do you do that.

It was also interesting reading your talking about making a living as an artist. I understood everything you said and right from the heart and spirit.

  15. Good luck with your journal and art. I am hoping to do the sketchbook journal as well, just needing to get together the funds first. I have so many medical bills due to my liver issue, it isn't funny! =/ Ugh!

Anyway, I love your sketchbook pages and am looking forward to seeing more of your art. :)

And this collage you've made of your journal pages is no exception. It's gorgeous! I'm really in trobule now, because I've been away from blog hopping for awhile, and now have loads of your posts to catch up on. I'll think I'll need a lie down after looking at all your wonderful creations. :)

Happy Valentines Day!!
These are little Valentines Mice made out of little white stones. I stuck felt hearts on them and then embelished them with bows and eyes. This is a fun Valentines Day craft for my daughter's second grade class!

India

Meet India, she is such a treasure! I made from a tea cup I brought back from India last year. She sits 6 1/2 inches tall. The base she sits on is a beautiful square plate I found in Crate & Barrel that matched the tea cup perfectly. India has been embellished with fabrics I also brought back with me. Her hair is a combination of wool and acrylic fibers and she is jeweled with brass accents. India has henna patterns on the souls of her feet and around the tops of her arms and sits in this peaceful position as she meditates. She's waiting to sit in your home and bring you peace.

Art Doll Mable

Art Doll Mable
Meet Mable, she's trying her best to keep her skin glowing. She believes in nourishing her body from the inside out but once a week a good facial mask and cucumbers on her eyes make all the difference in the world. She stand 8 inches tall and would love to sit on the side of your tub or on your dresser. She could spend hours in the bathroom! * Mable is an original one of a kind decorative Art Doll and not meant to be played with as a toy.
